Obituary of Billy Hurl Martin

~~Billy Hurl Martin, 70, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in Paris, Texas.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sharon Cemetery in Winnsboro, Texas with Brother Terry Bryan officiating.
Visitation will be 7-9 pm Friday, August 11, 2017 at Delta Funeral Home.
Billy was born October 31, 1946 to Raymond Hurl Martin and Stella Ann Gore. He married Anna Kimbrell on July13, 1965. She precedes him in death.
Billy is survived by daughter, Cassie Gunn of Klondike, Texas, son, Dwight Martin of Klondike, Texas. Five grandchildren; Tatiana Ugalde, Dionna Bassham and husband, Ross, Brianna Davis, Dillon Browning and wife, Brook and Ashley Martin. Seven Great grandchildren; Tristin Bassham, Delilah Bassham, Kevin Ugalde, Anna Ugalde, Eliana Browning, Liam Browning and Aveline Browning.
Billy Martin was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to all of those who knew him. Billy worked at L3 communications for most of his years installing and working on fuel cells on the airplanes. When he wasn’t at work he enjoyed spending time with family and friends or working out on his land with his cows, and every now and then enjoyed going to the boats or to the casino. Those who knew Billy knew he was a very kind and compassionate man, he helped anyone and everyone that he could when they needed him. He could always bring a smile to your face. Billy was a role model to many and he leaves behind the legacy that hard work, love and compassion is all you need to make a wonderful life for yourself and those you love here on earth.
