Obituary of Grover Lee Nabors
~~Grover Nabors 74 of Charleston passed away Monday August 21, 2017.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday August 26, 2017 at the Charleston United Methodist Church with Interment to follow at Charleston Cemetery his niece, Lyn Malone Phillips officiating.
Family will receive friends from 1-2p.m. Saturday August 26, 2017 at Charleston United Methodist Church.
Grover was born September 10, 1942 with Dr. D.B. Westerman delivering him and Mrs. Maggie
Slakey as Mid-Wife. He was the son of Herbert Lee Nabors and Golden Ann George Nabors, Grandson
of James Madison Nabors and Linnie Mae Duncan Nabors and Grover Cleveland George and Maggie
Rae Layer George. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents. Grover was a Rancher.
Survivors: Son: Robert Lee Nabors and wife, Penny of Red Oak
2 Sisters: Shirley Nabors Smith and her husband,Don of Cleveland
Carolyn Kay “Katie” Malone of Vasco
Nieces: Lyn Malone Phillips-Vasco
DeeAnn Hamner & husband Jeff of Paris
Julie Kay Swaim & husband, Dustin of Vasco
Great Nieces: Jacie Phillips Vaughn and husband, Jacob
Jalie Swaim
Great-Nephews: Brazos Phillips, Dawson Hamner and Dustin Swaim
Aunt: Ali Fae George Wright of Weslaco and many cousins and Friends.
Serving as Pallbears will be, David Elmore, Jason Ingram, Clay Ingram,
Donald Watson, Morgan Baker, Rio Ingram, Shane Ingram and Dan Worden.

Kenny Baker, Tommy Anderson, Michael Anderson , Ty Worden, Dean Houchins and
Bobby George.
