Obituary of Jon David Scott

~~Jon David Scott, 63, of Cooper, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 in Cooper.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the Delta Funeral
Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Tatum officiating and interment will be in the East Delta Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time, Wednesday
at the funeral home.
Jon was born, November 26, 1953 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was the son of Weldon L. Scott
and Helen Ruth Beckham Scott. He was an Insurance Claims Adjuster, served in the US
Army. He was a Commissioned 2nd LT in the Air Force ROTC at East Texas State
University. He served as a Captain, Company Commander in the Texas National Guard.
Survivors: Brother : James Wesley Scott and wife, Dana of Cooper
Nephew: Wesley D. Scott and wife, Amanda
Niece: Katlyn C. Scott
Great-nieces and nephew: Emily Scott, Lilly Scott and Cody Scott
Cousins: Dolores Jackson-Charleston, Margaret Hoot-Canton, Jaletta
Farmer-Mount Pleasant, Sue Godfrey-Mount Vernon and Teresa Garrison-Waskom
Serving as Pallbearers will be: Ben Snow, Wesley Scott, Jerry Jackson and John Scott
Jackson, Michael Speulda and James Jarrell.
. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth Scott.
