Obituary of Aubrey Taylor

Aubrey took his last breath surrounded by his family at his home in Roxton, Texas, on December 24, 2017, at the age of  92. Friends and family visitation will be held on December 27, 2017 from 5-7 p.m at Delta Funeral Home. 

 

 Graveside service are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Plano Mutual Cemetery in Plano, Texas. His grandsons and  great grandsons will serve as pallbears.

Aubrey J Taylor was born on May 17, 1925, in Hiram, Texas, to Clarence Edward Taylor and Vera Ola Kitchens Taylor.  Aubrey married Wanda Nadine Lawson Taylor who preceded him in death in 1960. They had three children, Aubrey Dean, Beverly, and Debbie. He was a veteran of the United States Army in which he fought in World War II. He later married Linda Sue Aaron Taylor on February 24, 1962. He loved his wife, family, country music, overalls, and his Kubota orange lawnmower.

Survivors include his wife, Linda, and his two children: Beverly Williams and Debbie Price and husband Mike; his five grandchildren: Tressie  Ginnette Taylor, Jennifer Miller and husband Kevin, Darla Looney and husband Preston, Greg Williams and wife Julie, and Jonathan Price and wife Ashley; and his great-grandchildren: Christine Taylor, Savannah Wheeler and Jacob Rea, Brandon, Colton, and Taylor Miller, Tristan and Trenton Wheeler, Taylor Looney, Aubrey Dean Taylor III, Madison and Braxton Williams, and McKennon and Aubree Price; his five great- great-grandchildren; his sisters: Barbara James and Georgie Gibson; his sister-in-law: Linda Marie Taylor; and his wife's siblings: Fannie Gidney, Beatrice Issac and husband  Mac, David  Aaron and wife Wanda, Emma  Hawkins and husband Stanley, Cathy McDonald; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death is his first wife Wanda Nadine Lawson Taylor, his son: Aubrey Dean Taylor  and wife Sharon; his son-in-law Tom Williams; his grandchildren: Wanda Taylor and Aubrey Dean Taylor II; his siblings: Imogene Wheeler and husband John, and Gary Lynn Taylor; and his brothers-in-law: Harvey James and Roland Gibson.
