Obituary of Mary Ann Templeton

Mary Ann Templeton, 82, of Lake Creek, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 in Lake Creek, Texas.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 2 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Cooper, Texas with Lyn Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Delta Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm prior to services at the First United Methodist Church.

Mary Ann was born in Paris, Texas on January 1, 1936 to Robert “Dusty” Clovis and Anita Rainey Graves. She married Billy “Rip” Templeton on July 7, 1962 in Paris, Texas. She held a Master’s Degree in Music Education from TWU and loved passing along her love of music to children, teaching private piano lessons for many years.  She was a school teacher in Richardson and Allen, Texas for 25 years and was a member of the Jr. AFFLATUS, First United Methodist Church of Cooper and Texas State Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include her husband, Rip Templeton; son, Philip Templeton and wife, Rebecca, of Azle, Texas; son, Ross Templeton and wife, Cherie, of McKinney, Texas; brother, Bobby Graves and wife, Judy, of Paris, Texas and 6 grandchildren.
