Obituary of Betty Sue Phillips

Betty Sue Roesler-Phillips 72 of Royse City passed away Sunday March 4, 2018.

Betty was born October 26, 1945 in Milam County, Texas to Willie Adolph and Florence Ivene “Kraatz” Roesler .   She was preceded in death by her husband, John Marshall Phillips; sisters: Sherial Williams, Gloria Phillips, and brother, David Roesler.

Survivors include a sister; Joyce Reynolds of Buckholtz, Texas, two brothers; Billy Roesler of Pearland, Texas, John Roesler of Lewisville, Texas,  six nieces; Stacy Phillips of Royse City, Stephanie Bouvier of Royse City, Monica Lunsford of Crandall, Jamie Roesler of Mesquite, Shelley Pilkington of Terrell, Rachel Roesler of Lewisville, and several great and great great nieces and nephews.

Betty married John M. Phillips March 19, 1966 and was a devoted loving wife until he passed away February 29, 2008.  Betty was also a very dedicated employee who worked in banking services for 46 years, retiring from Bank of America in 2010.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed Square Dancing.  Her greatest passion was her love for her family.  Her dedication and love for her family and friends will be an everlasting inspiration to so many.

 Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.  Tom O’Neal will officiate.

Serving as pallbears will be Kristopher Mendoza, Jonathon Phillips, Joseph Mendoza,  Jorge Mendoza,

Les Lundsford, and Joe Hernandez.
