Obituary of Willie Mae Eppers

Willie Mae Eppers, 94, of Enloe passed away Friday March 30, 2018.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel.   Interment will follow at Camp Shed Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. 

Serving as Pallbearers will be Harold Douglas, Robert Douglas, Chad Stegall, Don Whitaker, Buddy Crutcher, Rhett Crutcher, Don Carter and Joe Gibbs.

Willie Mae was born June 26, 1923 to Thomas Jefferson and Susie “Huie” Davis.  They have preceded her in death as well as her husband; Woodrow Eppers and a brother; Cecil Denison Davis.

Willie Mae leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

Growing up, Willie Mae cut and hoed cotton, had farm jobs by owning her own tractor, disc and equipment while young and she hauled and cut hay for people. She got her name in Congress over land. The Attorney General, John Karl, now in the Senate, went in on it. She had worked in the lunch room at Enloe School and was a home health care provider prior to retirement.
