Obituary of William Hollis Akins Sr.

William Hollis Akins Sr. 84 of Forney passed away Wednesday May 2, 2018.

Services are scheduled for 10:30 am Tuesday May 8, 2018 at Lawson Road Baptist Church 515 E. Lawson Rd. Dallas, TX 75253 burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper.  Richard Harris will officiate.

William was born May 29, 1933 In Greeley, CO. to Harold and Harriett “Shut” Akins.

Survivors include his wife Carilyn Akins of Forney, TX, children, William H. Akins Jr of Anchorage Alaska, Debra Kay Sinclair and husband Mitchell of Wilton, CA, Daniel Chris Akins and wife Marilyn of Garland, TX, Christine Lynn Beeler and husband Jon of Garland, TX, Cheryl Ann Cabiness of Holly Lake, TX 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

William was a heavy machine operator for many years, then he retired as a pastor after many years and enjoyed helping with the Samaritans Purse, He was a member of the Lawson Road Baptist Church.
