Clarence Dean (Tooter) Gillean
Dean Gillean passed away at his home in Enloe, Texas on Tuesday, August 28th.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Delta Funeral Home Chapel
in Cooper, Texas. Interment will follow at Camp Shed Cemetery, Mt. Joy, Texas.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2018 at Delta Funeral Home.

Dean or "Tooter" as most knew him, was born at home on September 3, 1938 in Mount Joy, Texas to
Joseph Carl Gillean and Lola Lee (Hobbs) Gillean. They have preceded him in death as well as his
sister, Pat Douglas, and an infant brother. He lost the love of his life, Deloris, in February 2017.
He was also preceded in death by his in-laws Claude and Flora Holmes.
Tooter is survived by his son, James. Others include his brother Joseph and his wife Pat, sister-in-law,
Bonnie Colhour, brother-in-law William Holmes and wife Martha, sister-in-law Sue Banks and husband Ray,
and brother-in-law Harold Douglas and his wife Jackie. Nieces and nephews: Janet, Ricky, Craig, Melody, Todd,
Wendy, Susan, David, Jason, Carla, Beverly and Jodie. And many other great nieces and nephews and
extended family members.
Dean served his country in the Nation Guard and was stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana in the early 60's.
He also served his community as a Volunteer Fireman with the Cooper V.F.D and later with the Enloe V.F.D.
Dean also work for the Texas Highway Department and retired after thirty years of service and enjoyed
his retirement very much.
