Obituary of Vancle Gene Goldsmith

Vancle Gene Goldsmith 76 of Cooper passed away Saturday October 27, 2018.

Memorial services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday October 31, 2018 at the Calvary Baptist Church Pastor Eddie Sutton will officiate.

Gene was born September 26, 1942 in Cooper to Vancle Hobbs and Verdia Mae “Talley” Goldsmith, they have preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife; Lynda Goldsmith, three sons; Eugene Goldsmith, Chock Goldsmith and Glen Goldsmith, a daughter; Barbara Sutton, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, three brothers; Roy Goldsmith, Eddy Cavanaugh and Danny Cavanaugh, three sisters; Bobbie Haney, June Henderson (twin) and Anne Hausser.

Gene married Lynda Dewey December 8, 1961 in Ft. Worth, TX, He served his country in the US Air Force He was a long haul trucker prior to retirement.
