Obituary of Anna Jo Baxter

Anna Jo Baxter, 82, of Cooper, Texas passed away Monday, November 5, 2018.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oakridge Church of Christ in Ladonia, Texas with Robert Wayne Milton officiating. Interment follows in the Oakridge Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Delta Funeral Home.

Anna was born in Royce City, Texas on January 10, 1936 to Johnnie and Virgie “McClendon” Hayles.  She was a Teacher’sAide for Bonham and Fannindel ISD and a house parent for Ben Ritchies Boys Ranch. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Jim Baxter, a son, Jimmy Baxter, Brother John Wesley Hayles, and a sister, Wanda Sims.

Survivors include 3 sons,  Jeff Mayes and wife, Rexine, of Emory, Texas; Billy Mayes and wife, Pat, of Arlington, Texas; Wesley Baxter and wife, Amy, of Cumby, Texas; daughter, Jana Crews and husband, Kris, of Cooper, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
