Obituary of Delores Ann Thompson

Delores Sheer Edwards Thompson of Cooper, TX passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018

Funeral services will be Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Church in Cooper, TX with Pastor Dean Eudy officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Delta Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel. 

Delores was born December 8, 1940 to James Roy and Geneva Sheer. She was a devoted daughter, mother, wife, grandmother and friend that spent most of her life making sure other’s needs were met and that her loved ones were taken care of. She is loved by so many and will be forever missed.

She is survived by her 3 children and their spouses: Tonjia Flecker and L J Wade of Sulphur Springs; Jeff and Judy Edwards of Lancaster and Tracey and Scott Thurman of Cooper. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Lisa Reed, Lynn Flecker, Amanda Edwards, Courtney Edwards, Derrick Chadwick, Heather Reynolds, Leah Thurman, Jonathan Thurman as well as 6 great grandchildren; her sisters, Neva Bettis Vickers and Chris Kauffman.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Miller Edwards and her second husband Robert Thompson, her brother and his wife, J.D. and Jane Sheer, as well as her sister and her husband, Betty Faye and Malcom Garrett.
