Obituary of Forrest Wayne Lawler

Forrest Wayne Lawler, 84, of Cooper, Texas passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 in Paris Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Lawler was born November 26, 1934 in Cunningham, Texas to A.W. and Kathryn Oats Lawler. He graduated from East Delta High School and served as a medic in the United States Army. He retired from Babcock & Wilcox in 1997.

He suffered from diabetes and congestive heart failure for several years. Now his body has been made whole again. Go rest high on that mountain. Out of sight, but forever in our hearts.

He is survived by brothers, Gerald Lawler of Zavala; Jerry Lawler and his wife, Mary, of Commerce; his sister, Wanda Lawler of Cooper; Roxie Faulkenberry and husband, Bobby, of Combine; Pat Hampton and husband, Larry, of Plano and nephews; Larry Hampton, Steve Lawler, Mike Faulkenberry, Jason Lawler, Craig Lawler, Bart Lawler, Garry Strickland and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Johnny and Malcolm Lawler; nephew, Terry Hampton, and great nephew, Tyler Lawler.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Restland Cemetery in Cunningham, Texas with Reverend Lyn Dennis officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Delta County Public Library, 300 W. Dallas, Cooper, TX 75432 or the Maroon & Gray Foundation, Cooper High School in Cooper, TX.
