Obituary of John Ed Nabors

John Ed Nabors, 78, of Charleston, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Charleston United Methodist Church with Reverend Lyn Dennis officiating. Interment will follow in the Charleston Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Delta Funeral Home.

Pallbears will be Wesley Houchins, Matt Ingram, Morgan Baker, Jason Toon, Jacob Toon, Tommy Anderson and Michael Anderson.

John Ed was born March 23, 1941 in Cooper, Texas to Hugh Edward and Jean “Fletcher” Nabors. He married Carolyn Martin on February 15, 1969 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn Nabors of Charleston; son, Martin Nabors and wife, Leann, of Rockwall; son, Fletcher Nabors and wife, Trecia, of Charleston; 4 grandchildren: Jackson Nabors, Hudson Nabors, Jentry Nabors and Sawyer Nabors; aunt, Mary Lou Nabors of Greenville; aunt, Nancy Bolt of San Angelo; uncle, Johnny Fletcher of Anchorage, Alaska; sister-in-law, Liz Jackson and husband, Bill, of Conroe and numerous extended family.
