Obituary of Nancy Sue Blount
Nancy Sue Whitaker Blount, 80, of Enloe, Texas passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 14, 2019.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel in Cooper, Texas with Rev. Johnny Whitherspoon officiating. Interment will follow in Camp Shed Cemetery.
Serving as pallbears will be Kent Whitaker, David D’Amico, Buddy Cructher, Boyce Gregory, Robert Douglas and Harold Douglas.
Family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel.
Nancy was born in Paris, Texas on October 28, 1938 to Wallace Granville and Jewel Lucille “Simmons” Whitaker. They have preceded her in death as well her husband, Billy Earl Blount, sister, Betty Ann Brace.
Nancy was a lifelong Christian. She received her Master’s in Education and was a teacher for 52 years and a member of Alpha Delta Kappa.
Survivors include her brother, Don Whitaker and wife, Regina, of Cooper, Texas; brother-in-law, Donnie Blount and wife, Carol, of Greenville, Texas; sister-in-law, Wanda Whitaker of Paris, Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews.
