Obituary of Wayne Haggard

Wayne Akard Haggard, Jr., 64 of Cooper, TX passed away May 21, 2019 in Tyler after a short battle with cancer.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chip Pinkerton officiating.  Interment will be at North Hopkins Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, May 23, 2019.

Wayne was born August 27, 1954 to Wayne Akard Haggard, Sr. and Frances (Neal) Haggard.  His father and daughter, Kristina Denise Crump-Haggard have preceded him in death as well as a sister, Linda Brantley and step-dad Murriel McGaha.

Wayne married Frances Loretta (Chester) Haggard on October 27, 1973 and she survives.  They were married for 45 years.  Frances was the love of his life. 

Wayne was a loving husband, father, and grandfather (Paw Paw).  His grandsons meant the world to him and he never missed a chance to let them know how much he loved them. 

He is survived by daughters; Stephanie Malburg of Cooper; Misty and husband Alex Sanchez of Klondike; grandsons Samuel Sanchez of Garland, Zaine and Cory Sanchez of Klondike; mother Frances McGaha of Wolfe City; brother: Clarence Haggard and wife Ladonna of McRae, Arkansas; sisters: Rhonda West and husband Billy Dan of Wolfe City; Edra Brantley of Wolfe City.

Serving as pallbearers will be Zaine Sanchez, Alex Sanchez, Clarence Haggard, Bobby Brantley, Jerry Brantley, and Jeff London.
