Obituary of George Barto Howse
George Barto Howse, 85, of Klondike, Texas passed away Monday, July 29, 2019.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2019 at Delta Funeral Home Chapel in Cooper, Texas with Reverend Terry Holley officiating. Interment will follow in New Klondike Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Tony Sepulveda, Shane Sepulveda, Josh Brown, Luke Brown, G.W. Howse and Jordon Stanley. Honorary Pallbearers are Diana Howse and Jessica Holt.
George was born in Cooper, Texas on November 21, 1933 to Rufus Willard and Ruby Lucille “Maynard” Howse. They have preceded him in death as well as a brother, James Howse. George was a rancher. He married Mary Etta Foster on January 22, 1955 in Hugo, Oklahoma.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Etta Howse of Klondike, Texas; daughter, Marilyn Sepulveda and husband, David, of Klondike, Texas; daughter, Marsha Davidson and husband, Ken, of Klondike, Texas; son, Mike Howse and wife, Emily, of Cooper, Texas; daughter, Monica Blassingame and husband, Wade, of Klondike, Texas; sister, Shirley Shaw of Commerce, Texas; sister, Rose Smith of Haynesville, Louisiana; 10 grandchildren: Tony Sepulveda, Shane Sepulveda, Josh Brown, Luke Brown, G.W. Howse, Diana Howse, Jordon Stanley, Jessica Holt, Callie Giles, Rachel Blassingame and 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and extended family.
