Obituary of Billie Jo Choate

Billie Jo Choate, 91, of Cooper passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Cooper with Mark Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the Church.

Billie was born August 20, 1926 in Pecan Gap, Texas to William “Cap” A. and Ruth Itus Gilbert Sansing.  They have preceded her in death as well  as her husband Connie “Jelly” Choate, seven brothers; Delmar Sansing, Winfred Sansing, Gilbert Sansing, Robert Sansing, William Author Sansing, Jr., William Lonnie Sansing and Herbert Lee Sansing, two sisters; Bernice Sansing and Glenda Sansing Thomas.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Louise Sansing of Garland, Texas and Yvonne Choate of Paris, Texas, brother-in-law Wayne Russell of Hughes Springs, Texas and several nieces and nephews. Lifelong friend Lola Nell Morgan.

She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Junior Afflatus Club and the First United Methodist Church, was a member of the church choir and served on the hospitality committee.

Serving as pallbears will be, Bobby Thomas, Steve Sansing, Terry Sansing, Ronnie Sansing, Bill David Choate and Bo Choate.
