Obituary of Perry Hollis Preas

Perry Hollis “Uncle Percy” Preas 60 of Sulphur Springs passed away Wednesday October 10, 2018.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m.  Saturday October 13, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Cooper, Jody Preas and Bob Logue will officiate. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday October 12, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Delta Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbears are Jimmy Evans, Russell Caldwell, Doug McCraw, David Weatherbee, Alan Bendall and Mike Morgan.  Honorary pallbears are Perry’s nephews and the past and present members of the Cumby Vol. Fire Department.

Perry was born July 15, 1958 in Paris, Texas to Hollis Benjamin and Myrtle Jean “Robinson” Preas.  They have preceded him in death.

Perry married Sherry Preas August 28, 1982 in Cumby, Texas she survives him at the family home.

Other survivors include  brothers;  Barry Don Preas and wife Anja, Christopher Eric Preas, Gregory Lee Preas and wife Stacey, Bob Logue and wife Holly, Chuck Logue and wife Susan, sisters; Cynthia Diane Preas and Crystal Butler and husband Guy, Father and Mother in law; Red and Jean Logue, numerous aunts uncles cousins and extended family.

Perry had been a Plumber for many years prior to a working at L-3 in Greenville; He was a Volunteer fireman in Cumby for over 20 years.
